First Snow

Snow. When I lived in Los Angeles I would have given just about anything for a heavy snowfall. Even now being in Minneapolis for seven years I still get excited for a big snow. The natives get restless and I actually feel we never get enough of the stuff.

The What if Lid.

What if this lid was large enough to block traffic. Or cover a stadium. What if it weighed 3 tons and was made of a translucent material that looked just like this regular sized lid. It would make a great sky light for a downtown business. What if? What if? What if?

Rain and Los Angeles

Rain. I miss how the rain was in Los Angeles. The rain was rare and just such a welcome change from the sun. I remember days when I just wanted a cold overcast day with a cool steady rain. I remember longing for the water to wash away the heat and dirt. Los Angeles after a winter rain is probably one of my favorite places to be.

Smokey Treat

What would be the best? Should I have a bowl of miso soup and a side of cheesecake? Maybe, Grilled catfish and a heaping plate of cherry jello and creamy cool whip. No I think a Smokey fudge pop will hit the spot.

Glove

So you might say...a glove interesting or just say hmmm.a glove... why a glove? I said the same thing why would a rubber glove be lying on the ground one foot from a perfectly good trash can. Perhaps someone was frosting their hair while they waited for the bus..and didn't want to screw up the perfect highlight..maybe .. someone realized it was 60 degrees and didn't need the warmth of the latex on there soft little hands. Take a guess. Why was this glove on the corner of lowry and central on the morning of May 3rd 2008?

Harbor Freeway

Let me tell you how this will end.

Cup Dream

I had a dream the other night that I was in a wheat field. The sky was a light robin's egg blue. I know that there was more to the dream. More happened in the dream than I can recall here but I am happy with what I know I remember. I am happy with the simple wheat field under a blue sky.

Eat Your Heart Out.

I decided to walk to work yesterday. I walked about 12 blocks watching the orange light illuminate the insides of the stores along central avenue. Inside one store was a shelf with seven two liter bottles of coke that had there labels bleached to a light pink from the incessant rays of the sun.

Happy Halloween

My daughter's favorite candy, well that and anything else with sugar.

Found

The tops of the buildings are outlined by a violet sky. The air is moving under the bus shelter and pushing the paper cups along the cement.
